About The Heritage Barn

More than just a venue — a place where lifelong memories are made, and where your people feel like our people.

The Heart Behind the Barn

A family-run labor of love.

We’re a family business in the truest sense. Megan and Erik have three children and treasure time with family and close friends. Joe and his wife Lindsay also have three kids who share a love for adventure — whether that’s a day out on the lake or exploring nature on dirt bikes.

We love celebrating life’s special moments, and we built The Heritage Barn to create space for others to do the same. Though we’re not originally from here, we fell in love with this community — and with the idea of giving couples a place to gather the people they love.

“The Heritage Barn is more than just a venue — it’s a place where lifelong memories are made.”

We’re also grateful to honor the work of Susan Sigmon, Cheryl Brown, and Marcheta Campbell, who initiated the original vision for this special place.

The Setting

Thirty acres in the North Carolina foothills.

The barn accommodates up to 125 guests indoors and as many as 350 across the grounds — climate-controlled and comfortable in every season. Beyond the barn, you’ll find everything you need to make a day of it:

  • Climate-controlled interiors
  • Wi-Fi throughout
  • Covered porches
  • A walking trail
  • An outdoor fire pit
  • Two outdoor ceremony sites

Just 45 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport, 20 minutes from Lake Norman, and about 25 minutes from the Hickory and Statesville regional airports.
